Winners emerge in Caleb University’s HR Innovative App Competition
The first phase, held on June 15, 2026, saw eight teams present their applications before a panel of judges.
The second phase followed on June 30, 2026, when the remaining eight teams took their turn to showcase their ideas. Across both phases, participants demonstrated strong creativity and technical skill in tackling real-world HR problems through their applications.
From the 16 teams that competed across the two phases, the judges selected three finalists: BlindHire, WorkForcely and WorkForce IQ to advance to a final round of judging on July 2, 2026, where they presented once more before the panel for a chance at the top three positions and their accompanying cash prizes.
At the end of the final round, BlindHire, developed by Iguisi Victor and Eniola Amusu, emerged the winner and got a cash prize of ₦250,000.
WorkForcely, developed by Oyeyemi Ayodele Ope and Porter Oluwadamilola placed second and received ₦100,000, while WorkForce IQ, developed by Ajayi Samuel and Olorunfemi Adebowale, finished in third place and went home with ₦50,000.
All cash prizes were presented to the winning teams by the Vice-Chancellor of Caleb University, Prof. Olalekan Asikhia and the Head of Computer Science department, Dr. Ayorinde Oduroye.
Beyond the top three, every team that took part in the competition was recognized for their contribution. Consolation prizes were awarded to the remaining participants, and certificates of participation were presented to each contestant across both phases by the judges.
The competition reflected the creativity, technical skill and problem-solving ability of Caleb University's students and reaffirmed the University's commitment to nurturing innovation, as well as, preparing students to build solutions with real-world impact.
